What subjects inspire you?
I love the colors and feelings of sunrises and sunsets. The combination of colors is peaceful and inspiring and I love capturing them in my paintings. I also love painting individual flowers because of the uniqueness and intricacy of each one.
Will this painting look good in my home?
The most important thing about picking out artwork for your home is that it speaks to you and evokes emotions. If you enjoy looking at it, then it will look good in your home.
Does it get lonely painting all day?
Not at all. When I get into the groove of painting, I often lose track of the time.
What is the best thing about being an artist?
I love the smell of the oil paints and the satisfaction of seeing a painting come to life. I usually get frustrated about halfway through every painting, so it is very satisfying to get over that hump and complete the painting.
How much time does it take to complete a painting?
Depending on the size and difficulty of the painting it can take anywhere between 20-40 hours to complete.
How do you know when a painting is done?
I usually leave it up on an easel for a day or two when I think it is complete. When I can step away from it and come back to it and it looks like a completed scene, I consider it a finished product.
What are your shipping options?
Shipping varies depending on whether you are purchasing a print or an original canvas.
What art do you most identify with?
I love impressionist artists and their use of painting to show the reflection of light off of objects.
