I began my artist’s journey as a child growing up in New Orleans. I could often be found in my early years doodling in one of the notebooks I carried with me. As an adult, I remembered the creative outlet I had enjoyed as a child and started painting with acrylics in 2009. I then took classes to learn how to paint with oils in 2016. I love the flexibility of oils as they don’t dry as fast as acrylics, giving me more time to play with their vibrant pigments.

My art allows me to capture the temporal beauty of fleeting moments. Each time I return to New Orleans, I am awed by the charming houses surrounded by nature that grows throughout that beautiful city. Here, at home in New England, I find the most dynamic, striking colors in the sunrises over the Atlantic Ocean. I bring these scenes and colors into my paintings, captivated by their wild loveliness. Each vividly-hued flower and soaring sky is like a small, irreplaceable piece of perfection—beauty forever held in each work of art.
